Do I need to wear a mask in class? No. Tech901 has dropped its mask mandate, citing new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance that removes mask recommendations for more than half of United States counties, including Shelby. So long as the district has allowed students in-person during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has required masks.
-
Do I have to attend class in-person, or will there be a virtual option?"Students will be able to attend their Summer 2021 Tech901 course in-person at the Crosstown Concourse, or virtually. In-Person: We ask that all in-person students receive their vaccination prior to attending their first class at Tech901. In-person students are also asked to wear a mask while in the Tech901 space. Virtually: Students who wish to attend their Summer 2021 Tech901 course online may do so. Historically, Tech901 students have achieved the best results when taking our courses in-person; however, due to complications from COVID-19, Tech901 has adopted a hybrid option which allows for more student flexibility. Regardless of your choice, all students will be expected to attend classes according to the Tech901 attendance policy. Most importantly, make sure to communicate your attendance with your instructor directly.
-
How many students are eligible to attend class in-person at Tech901?Each class is currently limited to 30 in-person students.
-
How do I notify Tech901 if I do contract COVID-19 during class? In the event that you contract and test positive for COVID-19 during your training period, notify your instructor immediately.
-
How is the class notified of possible COVID-19 cases in class? All fellow trainees will be alerted to any instance of COVID-19 via their instructor, through the Tech901 educational portal.
