Visits to/from partner companies may be included as a way to network and connect students with potential employers. Course Materials Students will be provided with a copy of ExamCram CompTIA A+ 220-1001 220-1002 by David Prowse and additional material can be found using the online portal on Google Classroom. Grades and Attendance Grades will be taken on a variety of assignments. They will be scored using the scale below. Further, students are expected to attend class each day and attendance will be taken. Tech901’s academic policy states that a student is automatically dismissed after five (5) course absences. Career Services Training Scheduled class times will be reserved for Career Services Training. In this time we’ll cover topics such as Resume Building, Professionalism, Interview Practice, and opportunities for Professional Networking. Certification Exams Successful course graduation requires students to not only obtain a passing grade in the course, but also to make at least one attempt on either the CompTIA 220-1001 or 220-1002 exams. These tests, administered through Tech901’s Pearson VUE testing center, require students to purchase exam vouchers for each exam attempt. Exam vouchers can be purchased for $110 (50% discount) through Tech901 and students who make a 75% or higher on the final exam will be sold a $50 voucher (75% discount) on his or her first attempt of both the 220-1001 and 220-1002 exams, with subsequent attempts costing the Tech901 student cost of $110. Tutoring and Review All students are invited to come for extra help during non-class times. This can often be the best way to get the necessary help for mastering the content required for the certification exam.
