Why Tech901 Requires the Assessment
As part of the admissions process, Tech901 uses the Wonderlic Assessment, a nationally recognized evaluation administered by a third-party provider. The assessment helps establish a baseline in english and math skills to determine readiness for our instructor-led, certification-focused technology training programs.

The assessment is not a technology knowledge test. Previous IT experience or certifications are not required. Instead, it measures foundational reading comprehension, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and your ability to carefully read and follow instructions—skills that are essential for success in certification training and today's workplace.

Our goal is not to create barriers to enrollment. The assessment helps identify readiness for training, supports student success, and ensures Tech901 continues to meet the standards of our funding partners and accrediting agencies.
Schedule a Second Attempt
Don't be discouraged if you don't meet the required score on your first attempt. Eligible applicants may schedule one additional in-person assessment at Tech901 and only need to retake the section(s)—Verbal, Math, or both—that did not meet the minimum score.
